What ISVs Need to Know to Become a Channel Order App Expert

Three letters, one acronym — COA. Whether you’re a new or a long-time ISV, chances are you’ve heard of the Channel Order Application (COA). It’s a tool that enables ISVs to create, submit, and track orders with Salesforce. All ISVs are required to submit an order for each sale of the partner’s application. Why is the Channel Order Application important?

What happens after you’ve completed your sales to end customers? The orders need to be submitted to Salesforce via the COA. Partners use the COA to place customer orders and report sales to Salesforce. After Salesforce receives your order, we activate or provision the product in your customer’s org. This
