Stewart Anderson’s dog Elsa, the inspiration behind the Animal Shelter Starter app
Stewart Anderson and Chris Rolfe are old friends. Working at Salesforce.org together — Stewart a Senior Solution Developer and Chris a Customer Success Architect — the two bond over their work in the higher education space, but even more over their love of animals.

It’s their passion for pets that brought these two employees together to build Animal Shelter Starter, an app through Salesforce Labs. A free solution available to Salesforce customers, the app helps shelters manage animals, treatments, conditions, housing, fundraising and more. As an animal lover myself, I wanted to learn how and why they built this AppExchange app. So, with my Border Collie Cooper by my side, I called these app builders, along with Stewart’s dog Elsa and Chris’s three bunnies.
