Early in my career, I thought leadership was all about the title. I was climbing the ladder to make it to the coveted senior staff meeting. I knew I wanted to drive change and impact, and I thought the only way to get there was to mirror the behavior of other leaders. But when I finally achieved the prestigious executive title, I discovered the secret. A secret that I wish had been shared with me early on, and a secret I will now share with you:
Leadership is not about your title, degree, or accolades. Leadership is the ability to inspire people to take action. You may have also heard this referred to as “executive presence.”
Executive presence is born by showing up as 100% you. Your executive presence is 100% unique.
