Increasing Speed to Lead with Round Robin Lead Assignments

For inbound go-to-market motions, speed to lead, which we defined in our previous blog post, is probably the single most important factor in winning your customer.

Organizations with high volumes of inbound leads need a fair, effective, and fast method to route prospects across their sales development representatives (SDRs), minimizing the time between a lead entering their systems and the prospect’s receipt of a first response.

To increase speed to lead, many organizations utilize round robin lead assignments. This blog post will explore what that means, how you can enable it, and how AppExchange apps can help.

What is a round robin lead assignment?

A round robin lead assignment methodology is a simple rotation through a group. Similar to dealing cards, a straight round robin distribution for a Sales team of three SDRs would look like the following:

Lead 1 is assigned to SDR 1Lead 2 is assigned to SDR 2Lead 3 is assigned
