Sistema.bio, was experiencing rapid growth in its last-mile distribution business for biodigester products, which produce biogas and biofertilizer from animal waste on farms in Latin America, India, and Kenya. Installations grew from 1,000 units in 2015 to more than 17,000 units by 2020.
Sistema.bio started using Salesforce and TaroWorks, available on AppExchange, in 2016 to digitize its last-mile field services including product sales, installation tracking, and maintenance follow-ups by field agents in areas with little or no connectivity. As their business expanded across 3 continents and their warehouses expanded from six to 15, they likewise faced increasing challenges of managing their supply chain.

Understanding the issues that Sistema.bio and other last-mile distribution businesses faced with supply chain management in offline areas led us to start building a second app, TaroWorks Enterprise to complement our core service
