Emergency and Crisis Response Charity Tackles COVID-19 with Efficient Volunteer Management through Salesforce and Magentrix
When disaster strikes, communities are vulnerable, lost, and in need of urgent relief. RE:ACT, an emergency and crisis response organization operating in the UK and overseas, knows that having highly trained responders on the ground is just as important as the speed of reaction.
Started in 2015, RE:ACT formed following a deadly earthquake in the Nepal capital, Kathmandu. Within days of the disaster, a team of British Army veterans joined international relief efforts on the ground, applying their military skills and experience to aid the humanitarian response. “About 70% of our volunteers come from the British Armed Forces previously, as well as the Emergency Services of Police, Fire, and Ambulance. Military expertise in planning and problem-solving makes for agile and resilient humanitarians,” said Chris Lyon, Head of Technology and Innovation at RE:ACT.
